Start 7-day free trialWhat your subscription includes
- IEP report: plain-English summary, issues to discuss with the page and exact words they come from, a goals check, a meeting plan with questions, and a parent concerns letter draft. Add last year’s IEP too and see exactly what changed (service minutes and frequency, direct vs. consultation, goals, accommodations, placement), with both passages side by side. Explain every IEP, amendment and draft your family gets this year.
- Deadlines: annual review and re-evaluation dates pulled from your IEP, as calendar (.ics) files with reminders.
- Letters and emails in English or Spanish: 8 editable templates (meeting request, records request, evaluation request, Prior Written Notice request, post-meeting summary, progress data request, missed services, independent evaluation request), prefilled from your IEP.
- Progress report check: compares a school progress report with your IEP goals and marks each one on track, not on track, vague or no data, with the report’s own words.
- Ask your IEP: questions answered only from your IEP, with the quote and page, or a clear “that isn’t in your document”.
- Service tracker: services and minutes from your IEP, a log of sessions, delivered vs missed minutes and a CSV export.
- Family document timeline kept on your device.
- Spanish: the tools, their answers and the letters can be switched to Spanish (the IEP report itself is in English).
Your documents, logs and timeline are saved only on your device. Text is sent for analysis when you use a tool and isn’t stored. AI can make mistakes; always check against your IEP.
14-day money-back promise: full refund within 14 days of your first purchase, no questions asked. Both buttons open secure checkout run by Link, Stripe’s checkout service (Stripe Managed Payments): the page and your receipt say “Sold through Link”. It asks for your email, card and billing address; you pay $0 today and your card is charged when the 7-day free trial ends unless you cancel first. Prices include any sales tax, so the total you pay is exactly $15/month or $129/year. Already subscribed? Sign in.

Your file is read in your browser. You check the text before it’s sent, and it’s analyzed once and never stored or logged. What stays: only a sign-in cookie in your browser. What disappears: the report, when you close the tab, unless you download or print it. No Meta or Google trackers. Privacy Policy.
Questions
Is this legal advice?
No. PlainIEP is an education and organization tool. Its checks were reviewed for accuracy against the federal IDEA regulations, but not by a lawyer. Each item is marked Documented (stated in the IEP) or Interpretation (our reading). For free help, contact your state's Parent Training and Information Center. For legal advice, talk to a licensed attorney.
What happens to my child's IEP?
Your file never leaves your device: the text is extracted in your browser, and you see it (with names, dates of birth, IDs and addresses removed) before it's sent once for analysis. It is not stored or logged. Only a sign-in cookie stays in your browser; the report disappears when you close the tab unless you download or print it. We never sell data or use it to train AI.
Which states?
Summaries work for IEPs from any US state, because all IEPs follow the federal IDEA law. Extra state-specific notes cover only Texas, New York, California, Ohio, Georgia and Illinois for now.
What if a page is hard to read?
If a scan is blurry or pages are missing, the report says so, and anything we couldn't find is marked “Not found in the uploaded pages” rather than treated as missing from the IEP.
What if it isn't for me?
Full refund within 14 days of your first purchase, no questions asked: email [email protected].
How do I cancel?
You can cancel yourself anytime: open Manage or cancel subscription, enter the email you paid with, and Stripe emails you a sign-in link. There you can cancel, update your card or download invoices. You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for. You can also email [email protected].
